Raincloud had remembered, she just wanted to know she hadn't messed up. Gathering her kill from the ground, she followed her leader to camp. "I'm sorry for today. If you hadn't met up with me today you wouldn't have lost so many mice, and the badger wouldn't have found you." She mumbled through her catch, her head down and ears back.
She had put her leader in danger. Sure, Silverstar had 9 lives, but she had still put one of those lives at risk. For that she could not forgive herself until she paid for her mistake.

Silverstar dropped her catch on the forest floor and looked sternly at her warrior." And if you hadnt run into me I may have lost one of my warriors who only has one life compared to mine. Raincloud, I would give one hundred mice to keep you in thunderclan however long I can. That badger didnt take one of my lives, or yours, and that makes today a good day." She bend over to take up her mice again, and padded on without letting her warrior reply.

Raincloud sighed and picked up the rest of her catch on the way. What if Silverstar was right? What if she hadn't met up with her and had died? She just sighed again and shook her head. No, if she hadn't met up with her, she wouldn't not have put her in danger.
When camp came into site she waited at the entrance for her leader to enter first. She knew the news of the badger would travel quickly, but in truth, she would rather have a badger than a Creed warrior visit. The badgers killed on the spot, but the Creed took you and you became their next torture victim. At least, that was the story.

Silverstar put her catch down one last time before going into the camp." I dont think we should tell the clan about the badger, they would worry to much and not be focused on preparing for leaf-bare. Ill add another warrior to the patrols but I wont tell them why. Itll be like nothing happened, okay?" She asked smiling and took her kill up in her mouth before padding in and setting it on the fresh-kill pile.

Raincloud was surprised when she heard they would keep the badger a secret, but nodded anyway. Picking up her kill she followed her into camp. She prayed silently to Starclan that no more badgers would hurt anyone. She wondered if the rabies was a sign of something bad to happen in the future, but wouldn't be sure. Only the Medicine Cat would really know, but she would leave that to Silverstar to tell the Medicine cat if she wished. For now she would just sit back and go with the flow.

Silverstar put the kill on the pile and padded into her den, deep in thought. The day was coming to an end, and the badger will die, but it still concerned her. So as she thought she decifered what it could mean and what she would tell her medicene cat in the morning...
